GENERAL FAQ

IoT (Internet of Things) technology has the potential to transform every kind of industry by connecting sensor devices and providing the ability to collect and use data to improve products, drive profitability, and enhance customer experiences.

Smart home & cities:

Through Smart Home projects we enable the integration of different technologies to manage the various functions of the households, then integrated into Smart networks of Cities.

Smart Agriculture:

Smart agriculture refers to the usage of IoT technologies like sensors (light, humidity, temperature, crop health etc..), location systems and robots on your farm. The goal is increasing the quality and quantity of the crops while optimising the human labor.

Smart Industry:

Our goal is to provide more intelligence and reliability to your manufacturing processes, collecting quality data. Our IoT sensors enable predictive maintenance (PdM) with the aims to empower your company and your customers to maximize the useful life of their parts while avoiding unplanned downtime and minimizing planned downtime.

Smart Things:

With our solutions for smart offices and retails, you transform your offices, stores, warehouse and other workplaces into smart environments for your employees and clients. Wearable technology in healthcare means devices that patients attach to their bodies to collect health and fitness data with the aim to provide them to doctors, health providers, insurers and others.
Overall, IoT has the potential to revolutionise the way industries operate by providing real-time data and insights that can drive more informed decision-making and improve efficiency. Let’s talk together about your industry, your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

Starting an IoT project can seem daunting, but with the right approach, it can be a really rewarding experience. With careful planning and execution and the right partner, an IoT project can create significant value for your organisation or customers.
We guide our customers to manage the power of connected devices, keeping them more competitive, safe and sustainable everyday. Let’s talk together about your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

The process of IoT project development can vary widely in terms of complexity and scale, depending on the specific project and its requirements. It is crucial to adapt the steps to the specific requirements, and that’s exactly Meteca’s expertise. Our support will provide a solution tailor-made for you: we use a safe and proved process centred on our know-how and on Briki technology, thanks to which you will drastically reduce your time-to-market. These are the steps: starting with a prototype to prove the concept and then smoothly moving on to production. Let’s talk together about your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

The Internet of Things (IoT) offers several benefits for projects in various sectors. Everyone can gain advantages in terms of Data Gathering, enhanced safety, automation and efficiency, productivity, sustainability, energy and cost savings, quality of life. You can access data and information from anywhere at any time on any connected smart device: having more information helps make better decisions. IoT makes the customer services smarter and stronger, allowing you to understand the clients better.
Let’s talk together about your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

Meteca and its partners adopt an approach called security-by-design. We strive to design, develop and operate systems with the proper level of protection, keeping them protected over time. At Meteca, we give your company the keys to securely drive and control the product innovation process with IoT. For us, it is important to consider security as an integral part of the IoT project lifecycle and to continuously monitor and update your solution.
Let’s talk together about your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

The cost of innovation with the Interne of Things can vary depending on several factors like hardware and software complexity, type of data management, integration and compatibility of the system, scalability and maintenance of the solution. Despite this, the benefits of a well-designed and customised IoT solution will far outweigh the costs, which is why it is necessary to rely on an experienced and reliable partner such as Meteca. Let’s talk together about your project, your goals, and find the best solution for you!

The choice of connectivity solution for an IoT project depends on several factors such as the use case, data requirements, power consumption, range, and cost. We will evaluate the best solution for your project, and thanks to the wide range of Briki products based on various technologies, we will choose the best one for you!

BRIKI PRODUCTS FAQ

Sure, Briki modules are perfect when you have to handle several tasks in parallel into your IoT product, but you do not have enough space to fit a complex electronic board. In just 38x16mm, the MBC module simultaneously performs control operations, complex calculation operations, and connectivity functions with different radio protocols.

Yes, Briki modules are open and highly flexible. Thanks to the special hardware and firmware architecture created by Meteca, the microcontrollers included in Briki products have a distinctive and unique “liquid communication” that goes beyond the classic and rigid master/slave configuration.

No, you’ll save a lot of R&D time by using Briki technology, and you’ll avoid to spend too much time building from scratch the hardware. With Briki, you would have R&D resources at no cost, using some of the most popular microcontrollers with ‘open’ documentation available online.

With Briki you can quickly move from the prototype to the product with zero modifications. The board you would use in prototyping is the very same one you will bring to production! The rapid prototyping boards offered by Meteca (ABC and DBC) are designed to accommodate the same MBC that would be included in the industrialised product.

Yes, Briki products are already certified and ready for production, ready for the European (ETSI/RED) and American (FCC) markets, with possible extensions into other markets (on request).

The Briki technology is developed with the Security-by-Design approach. The MBC-WB, in addition to hosting the ESP32 which already has interesting security qualities, could also mount a dedicated crypto-chip, the Microchip ECC608B, which allows you to extend security to the Cortex side of the board, as well as allowing to store keys and certificates for the major clouds currently available. All achievable easily and quickly thanks to the provided configuration software.

Yes, as they have compatible form factors and pinouts. They occupy the same geometric space and can be interchanged without damaging the board and/or compromising its functionality. 1-brick rather than 2-brick is a format identification that makes it easier to indicate the size of a module by taking its width (minimum size) as a reference. A 1-brick is the minimum width module, i.e. 16mm, so a 2-brick will have twice the width, i.e. 32mm. All 1-brick and 2-brick modules are compatible between modules of the same size.

All Briki products are by request as products for industrial use. Many of them are available in different versions by hardware configuration and functionalities. Depending on your design, you may prefer one version over the other. Contact us to find the best suited for you!
